Welcome to our third grade class, home of readers, writers, mathematicians, engineers, athletes, artists, musicians, and soon to be budding chess strategists! We are busy, busy, busy working to master grade-level standards related to, for example, algebraic equations and division; writing well-structured paragraphs; and comprehending longer and longer pieces of fiction and non-fiction. We are learning to write web pages, building spinners to understand cetrifugal force and other physics concepts, and studying chess to learn strategies such as thinking ahead.
